Availability of quality planting material of economically viable aromatic plants at an affordable cost is considered to be one of the key requirements for realization of their potential because successful aromatic crops requires production of not only quantity but also quality and marketable raw material for industries. Therefore, to support the farmers of rural Uttarakhand, a high-tech nursery by CAP selaqui, has been established to produce bulk quantity of certified planting material. The facilities available for mass multiplication of planting material are mist chamber, poly house, net house, vermi culture unit, root trainers, foggers, sprinklers, sprayers, nursery beds etc.

The aroma park is situated in kashipur,distract Udham Singh Nagar just opposite of IIM,Kashipur.The total area of aroma park is 41 acres.

• Demarcation, survey, identification, authentication, conservation and bio-prospecting of Aromatic Plants (AP’s) biodiversity.
• To develop cultivation techniques (planting materials, pre and post harvest practices, processing) which are cost effective in different agro-climatic regions of the State.
• To develop effective compounds from AP’s for perfumery and aroma industries through tissue culture technology.
• Production and propagation of genotype of commercially important AP’s.
• Conduct Research & Development, extension and train human resources for fragrance and flavour industries.
• Extension of AP’s cultivation and conservation technology through demonstration.
• To develop market provisions in the interest of farmers of Uttarakhand and perfumery industry and to support the aromatic sector.
